Finally after lots of customers asked us to combine our very popular Halo lights with the best of breed 55w Premium JTX H4 HID kit - here it is.. This is a brand new pair of our 7 White Halo head light inserts and our premium 55w JTX H4 HID Hi and Low kit. That's 55W HID Low Beam and 55W HID High Beam - Both beams in HID. You wont need spotties with headlights like these. The 2 lights are the same.
You get 2 lights that both suit left side of road or what we call RHD Right Hand Drive. Some people have seen the RHD label and expected to get a left and a right light - LHD lights shine light upwards to the right and so are illegal in Aus (which is why the old import cars need 2 of these RHD lights to be registered) so to clarify you dont get 1 of each - to keep it legal you get 2 x Right Hand Drive lights. LED Halo - The Halo is powered by 36 x LED SMD pads making it a brighter DRL during day light. Powering the DRL Halo is dead easy - the black wire is earth and the white wire is power - connect the white wire to the parkers if you want them on with the parkers, or wire them to the accessory circuit (with an optional on/off switch) if you want them on when ever driving but not have the tail lights on which is what you get with the parkers - plenty of easy options. The DRL Halo (or Angel Eyes) are very bright even in full sun light. This kit comes with our premium JTX alloy globes. We pride ourselves knowing our JTX alloy globes are the only ones out there which can withstand high watts. Others melt or burn out and if they dont then they are probably not getting the full watts. Our glass is seated in ceramic and the body wont melt because it is alloy. Plastic globes do not last long.
Also we have just released our new JTX H4 wiring kit which comes free with this package. This wiring harness was engineered here at JTX and solves over heating and over loading through the use of high power ballasts. It also automatically handles the reverse polarity and earth switching of vehicles such as Toyota.
55w is ideal for around town and not too bright for oncoming cars in low beam and still really great for country driving. The size is 7" round and they suit all 7" applications..
The only other sizes out there are 5 3/4" and 4.5" so if you go and have a measure it will be pretty obvious to you which size you need. They are a direct replacement of your normal 7 round sealed or semi sealed head lights.
Remove the outer metal retainer (3 screws) and the light falls forward into your hands. Just unplug the old and plug in the new. Re-position the light and screw in the retainer and you are done. There is no need to remove the grill or headlight surrounds. The HID comes with a wiring harness that simply plugs into one of your headlight sockets. You also need to connect the red wire with fuse to the +ve terminal on the battery.
And each ballast has a black wire that you need to ground to an earth and that's all there is to it. These are excellent all rounder lights. The reflector is made of glass finish sheet metal and is shaped to project light as far forward yet as wide as possible in like a kidney bean shape so as to light up the left of the road and not shine in the eyes of oncoming drivers. The curved glass lens is rippled vertically so as to disperse light sideways. The ripples that would normally shoot light to the right are also tilted downwards so as to not project light into the eyes of oncoming drivers.
It's because of this they are suited to our Australian Right Hand Drive vehicles and they are E rated and DOT approved and legal. In this kit, you get. 2 x 7 Round Glass Semi Sealed Head Lights.
2 x our premium alloy H4 HID Hi/Lo Globes. 2 x Slim line JTX 55W 12V & 24V Digital Ballasts. 2 x Ballast mounting kits.
1 x 12V loom / wiring harness (24V available) - let me know if you need 24v for the harness. Easy to follow instructions with pictures. You dont need anything else - it is totally complete, easy to fit and ready for insane super bright light.
The globes are exclusive to us - we identified where the normal H4 HID globes were failing and addressed these with the factory. The following improvements were made.. Internal improvements to connections, gases and materials. Can only be clicked together just 1 way - eliminates being mounted upside down causing light scatter in low beam. The lock in is a lot more secure. The cheaper globes would wriggle loose and the globe stalk would fall out while driving and set fire to the rubber boot or anything combustible it comes into contact with - that was primarily the start of our quest for the ultimate HID globe. The body is not plastic but alloy and the globe base is seated in ceramic. Means it can tolerate much higher temperatures and not melt. Cheaper globes tended to melt with 55w or 70w ballasts. These are working great even with 150w ballasts. This will work completely submerged under water. The alloy body is cnc machined aluminium and will not rust or corrode. It will not crack, split or fatigue like the plastic ones once subjected to heat. Our JTX HID globes generate just 15% more heat than a conventional incandescent bulb of the same watts. So with a 55w ballast this HID bulb generates less heat than a conventional 65w bulb and so there is no fading or problems with lights and even plastic headlights. Like everything JTX these are the very best. They reach full brightness the fastest. They are the brightest they can be. They wont cause static on the radio. They are guaranteed for 2 years but you can expect 20-30 years of great driving with them. The inside of the ballast is filled with a resin so if any water did manage to get in, it can't do any harm. HID lights work by passing electricity through xenon gas.
There is no fragile element. To blow a globe you have to physically break it.
When the globes switch between hi and lo the core of the globe moves in and out. The globe stays on all the time so there is no heating up or loss of light between beams. There is a light shield that stops light hitting the bottom of the reflector in low beam. When the core shifts to high beam position, not only does the bright spot move into the "focal point" of the light but it also shines through a slot in the shield that allows light to hit the bottom of the reflector that then sends light upwards. Because nothing us turning on or off there is no warm up periods. Here's how they wire up... The wire harness has a red wire with a fuse - that goes to the +ve on the battery.
It has a 3 pin plug that plugs into one of your headlight sockets. That's how it knows when to turn lights on/off and go between hi and low beams. All your old wires do is tell controller in the loom what to do so it is no load at all and your old wires do not need upgrading.
Each ballast has an earth wire that needs earthing and that's all there is to it. The HID globes just plug into the harness and only go one way. So literally anyone can do this. We have had such a good run with the quality of our HID kits we are now extending our warranties to 2 years. Being based here in Melbourne it's a fast easy process.
We have many years of sourcing the best components and now dealing with factories directly to get them to make improvements that we deem are warranted based upon 10's of thousands of sales. I have done the hard yards.
Remember, a cheap kit is not cheap once you throw it out. We see it all the time. It covers non functioning ballasts, globes and wiring kits. Together we will go through a few simple steps to work out if you have a globe or ballast or wiring problem and then the part is sent to you.We stock these kits and they are ready to post straight away. There is an express post option when you pay. This item is in the category "Vehicle Parts & Accessories\Car & Truck Parts & Accessories\Lighting & Bulbs\Headlight Assemblies".
